Dear Jack and Jill Mothers of the Sweet, Sweet Southeastern Region,

Welcome to Amelia Island, Florida! We will learn more of OUR story as we visit the American Beach and  American Beach Museum.  American Beach is one of the first black-owned beach resorts and still belongs in part to the founders’ descendants. We will explore more of the 1619 Project and revisit the contributions of our enslaved ancestors. We are excited to have Nikole Hannah-Jones join us on our 15th annual Southeastern Regional Trip.  Mrs. Jones is an award-winning investigative journalist for The New York Times, who spearheaded the  1619 Project, which is a collection of essays published in New York Times Magazine.

A block of rooms is available at the Ritz Carlton Amelia Island. After successfully registering, a confirmation email will be sent that has the link to book rooms at the Jack and Jill of America room rate no later than Sunday, February 16, 2020. Details are listed in Hotel Reservation section of registration.

Registration is open until December 15, 2019, or until it sells out, whichever comes first.

We look forward to seeing you soon in Amelia Island!

Latrecia Jordan

27th Southeastern Regional Director
