OPTIONAL ALL-BLACK TOWNS EXCURSION

On Friday, April 29th, you have the option to add the All-Black Towns Excursion Tour for $65* per person. 

Tour Time:  8:30am -- 4:30pm

Travel in comfort via motor coach with your own private tour guide to the Black Towns: 

Boley - Largest of the Historically Incorporated All-Black Towns (1905) located in Okfuskee County, Creek Nation, Indian Territory, home of the famous attempted bank robbery.   In Boley, enjoy Henrietta Hicks in her rendition of the Pretty Boy Floyd bank robbery attempt and the rich history of Boley.

Clearview - Second largest of the Historically Incorporated All-Black Towns (1902) located in Okfuskee County, Creek Nation, Indian Territory.  Site of the Chief Alfred Charles Sam’s Back to Africa Movement.  While here, enjoy a great BBQ meal and meet the Clearview citizens who will share the history of Clearview.   

Grayson – One of the larger of the Historically Incorporated All-Black Towns (1902) located in McIntosh Creek Nation, Indian Territory.  Home of the famous civil rights leader Clara Luper and the Feli-Gumbo Festival.   While in Grayson, enjoy a horseback ride or photo opt with Grayson’s cowboys and listen to Mayor Anderson explain the history of their Feli`-Gumbo Festival.  

Lunch:   BBQ Dinner with two sides, dessert, and drink.  Vegetarian option available.
