GREETINGS FROM THE REGIONAL DIRECTOR
Dear Mothers of the Far West Region,
Viva México! On behalf of the Regional Executive Board of Jack and Jill of America, Incorporated, welcome to the 2023 Mothers’ Regional Conference, hosted by the Oakland Bay Area Chapter at the Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos Resort in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.
Our Mothers’ Regional Conference will be like no other. We are inviting the entire family to join us on this fun and relaxing vacation. While we will have our traditional plenary sessions and a few Jack and Jill workshops, we have built in time this year for you to enjoy and be with your families. Our Welcome Reception and Closing Gala will be open to all our Jack and Jill family attendees. This year, we have included light Associates programming, curated by our Associates and one fun activity for our Dads to enjoy and bond. Please note, there will be no hosted children’s activities, but the resort does have a Kids and Teen Club on site. Additionally, you will find on our registration platform, a guide of fun excursions your whole family can partake in.
The Far West Regional Team and the Oakland Bay Area Chapter cannot wait to seeing you and your families in Cabo. If you have any questions or need additional information along the way, please don’t hesitate to reach out to any member of your regional leadership team.
Looking forward to our time together!
In service,
Tasha B. Penny

GREETINGS FROM THE HOST CHAPTER CHAIR
Dear Mother Members,
We are delighted to invite you to register for the 2023 Far West Region Mothers’ Conference, taking place from July 12-16,2023 at the beautiful Hotel Ziva, all-inclusive resort in Cabo San Lucas Mexico. As the host chapter chairperson, I am honored to work alongside RD Tasha Penny and her executive team to present this fabulous event as we continue to build a community dedicated to nurturing future African American leaders through leadership development, volunteer service, philanthropic giving, and civic duty.
This conference is an excellent opportunity for Jack and Jill mother members to come together, reflect on personal experiences, and restore our spirits. We all know that we live in a fast-paced world, and the demands of work, family, and life in general can be overwhelming. It is easy to lose sight of what is truly important, and this conference offers a chance to take a step back, reflect, and renew our sense of purpose. In addition to personal restoration, this conference will also provide us with the opportunity to connect with our fellow members. We all have a common goal, and that is to work towards the betterment of our organization in service of our children. This conference will allow us to connect with each other, share our experiences, and build new relationships. It is our hope that this event will be a catalyst for increased collaboration and support among our members.
On behalf of the OBAC host committee and all those who have contributed to the success of this event, we extend our sincere thanks. Without your hard work and dedication, we would not be able to present this conference.
We look forward to welcoming you to the 2023 Fabolous Far West Mothers’ Regional Conference. Let us make the most of this opportunity to restore our spirits and strengthen our bonds with each other.
Best regards,
Leisel Whitlock
Conference Chair
