Dear Mothers,Teens, Fathers, and friends and family of our Sensational South Central Region,

I am honored and humbled to have the pleasure of welcoming you to our 2023 Teen Conference. I am Langston Benford, hailing from the Historic Houston Chapter, and I am proud to have served and represented our outstanding Jack and Jill teens. I would like to thank all of you for attending this action-packed conference. Rest assured that we, your Regional Teen Board, have worked very hard and planned for this Teen Conference, the second in-person teen conference since quarantine. We are thrilled to to continue to reconnect with each of you and see you all in person once again. A special shout-out and thanks to every Mother, Father, TEEN and Associate of the Always Awsemone Arlington Chapter as hosts for this year’s conference!

This year, our focus as a board has been to bring more engagement to our teens in the organization so that we can shape the next wave of future advocates. That is why we settled on “Black To The Future” as our theme this year. We want YOU to be the ones to speak up about your thoughts, problems and ideas. We want YOU to feel empowered, supported and comfortable with each other.

Teens, we are ready to build off of last year’s excitement and make this an even better Teen Conference. By bringing back Sports Day while keeping the fun of Variety Night, we can truly say that we listened to your suggestions and are ready to host you all for this amazing four-day conference. So, get excited as all roads lead us to the future, Black To The Future Teen Conference 2023!
