Accountability & Responsibility: Who Gon' Check Me?

What does it mean? Who do we let into our space? Who are we accountable to? Who are we accountable for? If no one has the permission to challenge you, or hold you accountable and responsible, then you are on your own and none of us was meant to be that way. Let’s learn how to leverage your community.

Communication & Listening: "I Got It. I'm Good"

Saying "I got it" or "I'm good" when you don't and you aren't robs us of the results that we want. If we don't listen, and assume that we have the instructions, we're not likely to get the results that we want. It's OK to actively listen to get the understanding and to ask for clarification for the understanding. The clearer the instructions, the closer our actions get us to the results that we want.

The goal is to promote literacy and increase awareness of African American culture and its contributions to literature.
