Mothers of the Mighty Mid-Western Region:

Welcome to Puerto Rico! This is a first for the Mid-Western Region to host a destination bi-annual Mother’s Conference.  I can’t wait to greet you at the beautiful La Concha Renaissance San Juan Resort in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Additionally, this is the first time our Centers of Excellence are sharing the responsibility of planning and executing the conference. I encourage you to use this conference to relax, reflect and recharge as you continue Living the Jack and Jill Dream, Mission Minded, Dream Driven for your chapters, children and communities. 

The theme for the Mid-Western Region 33rd Mother’s Conference is Dare to Dream.  In 1938, Marion Stubbs Thomas and twenty-one other mothers Dared to Dream and created an organization that for 85 years has been preeminent in nurturing future African American leaders through leadership development, volunteer service, philanthropic giving and civic duty.  Mothers in the Columbus, Ohio Chapter Dared to Dream back in 1945, when they charted the first chapter outside of the Eastern Region.   

On July 13-16, 2023 I want each of you to arrive in sunny San Juan, Puerto Rico ready to conduct the business of our Mighty Region, take advantage of the ample free time built into the agenda and have fun!
