Welcome!

I have been blessed with the honor and privilege of serving as your 28th Far West Regional Director. The 2025 theme for the conference “I’m Black and I'm Proud" is timeless.

Working with these remarkable regional teen officers and our Geo Pod chapters has been a memorable and personally rewarding experience. This occasion commemorates not only our teen conference but also recognizes Jack and Jill of America as being energizers and preparing young men and women for the global climate that they are in today. I am optimistic that these young men and women shall go forth being examples of our legacy of enhancing, preparing, preserving the sense of worth of our black teens.

I extend sincerest thanks to the hard-working Geo Pod chapters, committees, chaperones, California Polytech State University, sponsors, volunteers, parents and of course our creative Teen Board.

On behalf of the Far West region and the Regional Executive Board. I wish to thank the many individuals who have adherent support to help make this event pure magic.

As Paul wrote in 1Corinthians 13:11, “When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child. But when I became a man, I put away childish things now that you are no longer children. You must speak, understand, think and act as young men and women you are destined to become. “

Dear Mothers and Teens of the Far West Region,

On behalf of the National Executive Board of Jack and Jill of America, Incorporated, welcome to the 71st Annual Far West Region Teen Leadership Conference, hosted by the Pomona Area, Inland Empire and Las Vegas Chapters on the campus of Cal Poly Pomona. Our conference theme, “I’m Black and I’m Proud,” is the reason for this Teen Conference season. I cannot wait to see your interpretation of this statement throughout our many competitions showcasing your talent and creativity. Our time together will be filled with exceptional programming, opportunities for leadership and the forging of new friendships.

Congratulations to our Regional Teen President, Taylor Towns, and her Regional Teen Board. Under the guidance of Regional Director, JoAnne Curry and her Executive Board, you all have planned what we know will be a memorable Far West Region Teen Leadership Conference. Your leadership is inspiring and I applaud you for your efforts in collaborating with our host chapters to bring your vision to fruition. I am looking forward to our time together!
