Wake up with Hollani Davis every weekday morning. Earlier this year, Hollani was officially named Morning Anchor of WPTV’s flagship newscasts after working other dayparts since starting at the station in 2014. You can catch her every weekday morning on ‘Today on 5” from 5am – 7am.

Not one to shy away from some of the most pressing social justice issues of our times, Hollani has become a go-to source for accurate information in her coverage area. Her ability to, highlight diversity and different viewpoints while showing off her personality and professionalism on air has made her a favorite with South Florida viewers.

During Hollani’s 20-year journalism career, she has garnered several awards including an Emmy for anchoring ‘Best Newscast’. She is a proud graduate of Hampton University and belongs to Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated.

Hollani joined the Jack and Jill Palm Beach Chapter in 2020. She and her husband agree, it has been a lifeline to their family and is the village they have wanted for their three young daughters: Michaela, 6; Mallory 3; and Micah 7 months. “To be enveloped with the love and support of other like minded African American families who cheer you on and become a backbone in times of need is invaluable,” says Hollani.

Hollani and another Palm Beach Chapter member Winny Dorce-Evans fulfilled a lifelong dream last year. The two, who only met when Dorce-Evans also joined the chapter in 2020, started a Girl Scout (Daisy) troop – centered around girls of color.

Hollani sits on the board of “Baby Otter” a drowning prevention school in Florida. She also does public speaking coaching and works with various groups throughout the community including the Boys and Girls Club.
