Mr. Avila is a Managing Director and Vice President of Family Office Services at Franklin Templeton Investments. He has over 15 years of securities industry experience and in-depth knowledge working with individuals, trust & estates, corporations, IRAs, Registered Investment Advisors (RIA's), and public pension plans. He earned a Bachelors of Science degree in international business with a concentration in finance from Florida Atlantic University and a Masters of Business Administration degree in finance from Nova Southeastern University. He holds the Certified Public Pension Trustee (CPPT) designation from the Florida Public Pensions Trustee Association (FPPTA) and Certified Retirement Plan Fiduciary (CRFP) from the Georgia Association of Public Pension Trustees.

Mr. Avila is a member of the City of Coral Springs Finance Oversight Committee, Martin Luther King Jr. Monument Committee and Board Member for City of Coral Springs Youth Soccer. He also sits on the Board for the Broward Alliance for Neighborhood Development, a non-profit organization that advocates for affordable housing and community economic development in Broward County, where he serves as Treasurer. Mr. Avila is a committed servant and advocate for our communities. He believes that service should not be done for praise or adulation.

He is also a proud member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated. During his time as an undergraduate student at Florida Atlantic University, he served as his undergraduate chapter’s Step and Stroll Master, also known as percussive dance and is well versed in the areas of choreography, synchronization, style, and level of complexity.

Mr. Avila is married to Justine Avila and they are the proud parents of three beautiful daughters – Aidan (13), Nora (8) and Ella (4). When he is not traveling for work, in his spare time he enjoys playing golf, spending quality time with his family, coaching his daughter’s soccer team, and being an overall girl’s DAD.
