Ms. Shappiro Broady is an accomplished educator and coach, known for her exceptional leadership and passion for excellence. A native of Fort Lauderdale, FL, she graduated from Allen University in Columbia, South Carolina, where she also became a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., Gamma Pi Chapter. With over 18 years of experience in Broward County schools, she is a certified Reading and ESE/ESOL Teacher and currently teaches at Dillard High School.
Ms. Broady has been the Head Step Team Coach at Dillard High School for 18 years and the Middle School Step Team Coach for 7 years. Under her guidance, the Dillard High Step Team has achieved numerous accolades, including being undefeated champs in Broward County from 2016 -2019, as well as being the local Break the Stage winners in 2014-2015 and The National Break the Stage 1st Place Winners in 2017-2019. She has over 20 years of experience coaching step teams, starting with Broward County Recreational Step Programs.
In addition to her success with step teams, Ms. Broady is also the Head Auxiliary Coach at Dillard High School for dancers, majorettes, and flag squad, a position she has held for 18 years. She was also the Sunland Park Head Dance Coach for the City of Ft. Lauderdale Parks and Recreation for 12 years.
Ms. Broady's dedication to her students and passion for her work have made her a respected and admired figure in the Broward County community. She is committed to helping her students succeed both on and off the stage, and her track record of success speaks for itself.
