Born and raised in South Florida, with her roots from Jamaica, Karlene is both a businesswoman and entrepreneur. Karlene earned her undergraduate degree from Florida State University, where she became a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., and then a master's degree from Nova Southeastern University. Currently a certified Project Management Professional, Karlene works for Visa, Inc. leading a global team throughout the US and the Philippines.
Her background in stepping started in high school where she stepped on the Plantation High School step team and had the position of captain. She stepped throughout college with her sorority and is the Step and Stroll Team Captain in her sorority’s graduate chapter. She was also one of the past step team coaches for the Jack and Jill Greater Fort Lauderdale Chapter team.
In addition to her step background, Karlene is a certified Zumba instructor and has been featured in commercials, marketing ads, dance challenges, and photoshoots for the Zumba company
