Speaker Bio
Known by many as PS2, Patrick Surtain II was born and raised in South Florida. He attended American Heritage High School where he was ranked the number one cornerback in the country. While attending American Heritage, he was coached by his father, Patrick Surtain Sr., who played cornerback in the NFL for the Miami Dolphins and Kansas City Chiefs. As the top-ranked player in his position, and a five-star recruit, Patrick committed to play college football at the University of Alabama where he made an immediate impact on and off the field. As a true freshman at Alabama, Patrick started 12 games and recorded 37 tackles and an interception. As a sophomore he totaled 42 tackles, three forced fumbles, eight pass breakups and two interceptions. In his final year at Alabama in 2020, he again returned as a starter at cornerback, earning several pre-season and All-American honors.

Patrick was voted the 2021 Rose Bowl defensive MVP before winning the College National Championship in his final game against Ohio State in his hometown. The game was held on the same field where he spent so much of his childhood watching his father play for the Miami Dolphins. In 2021, Patrick was selected by the Denver Broncos in the first round of the NFL Draft, with the ninth overall pick. He was named to the 2021 All-Rookie Team, and in 2023 Patrick was named to his 1st Pro Bowl.

In February 2023, Patrick launched his foundation to use his platform to benefit under privileged youth. He is a proud 2018 graduate of the Greater Fort Lauderdale Chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Inc. where he served as the Teen Chaplain. He is the son of Michelle and Patrick Surtain, Sr. and has two sisters Paris, a sophomore at FAMU, and Parker a freshman at American Heritage High School.
