Per the JJOA COVID-19 Guidelines, in order to attend a National or Regional indoor or outdoor event, all must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.  All children ages 5 and older must all be fully vaccinated in order to attend. Fully vaccinated means that the second dose of Pfizer or Moderna or the one dose Johnson and Johnson was administered on or before June 1, 2022.  Proof of vaccination will be required prior to arriving onsite.

In addition, masks will be required at all times except when actively eating or drinking.

All registered teens and adults and guests for the gala must present a negative test (either lab PCR or lab rapid antigen) within 72 hours before the event. The testing requirement and all published procedures will be sent after the close of registration. Home self tests will not be accepted.  If the test is positive, unfortunately, there are no refunds.

At this time, a booster shot is not required, however, the JJOA COVID-19 policy is subject to change. If the policy does change, it will be for those who are eligible to receive a booster based on the date of the last vaccination. If the policy is updated and you are eligible, but do not obtain the booster,  a refund is not possible.

It is not required, but strongly recommended that you purchase trip insurance to cover your investment in case unforeseen circumstances prevent you from attending, to include a positive COVID-19 test. Here are companies that you can contact. Note this is not an endorsement of any company, just a referral:

Teens are not able to room alone. The negative teen will be placed in another room or the mother will be permitted to stay overnight with the teen. Please note this is only a COVID allowance and must be approved by the Regional Director

If a teen falls ill, they will be isolated in a hotel room and the parent will need to come to pick up their teen immediately.
