Greetings Mothers of the Sweet, Sweet Southeastern Region,

It is our pleasure to welcome you to virtual Mothers’ Work Day 2020, in the historic city of Birmingham, AL. The 2019-2021 Southeastern Regional Leadership team is very excited about this conference. We are determined to not let COVID-19 disrupt any of the traditions and level of excellence shown in the SER!

Thank you for joining us as we come together with our hearts and minds centered on, Empowering All Children with Passion, Purpose, and Pride. The mothers of the Birmingham Chapter under the leadership of President, Rhonda Cantelow, along with the Regional Leadership Team, have tailored our Work Day Sessions with all mothers in mind. The goal is that each mom will leave our virtual Mothers' Work Day empowered, enriched, and engaged. We hope that you will utilize the day as an opportunity to exchange ideas and become more deeply involved within our organization. The Southeastern Regional Leadership Team and all of our MWD 2020 speakers hope to give you information so that you can continue to make a difference in your chapters and the communities in which you live.

We extend a special thank you to the Mothers’ of the Birmingham Chapter and Mothers Erica Lankford and Krysten Holloway, who serve as Chair and Co-Chair for this conference. They have worked very closely with the Regional Leadership Team to capture our vision, plan, and execute a phenomenal conference, and for that, we are truly grateful.

The theme for this weekend is "emPOWERed leadHERship: We are Better Together." With this theme in mind, Mothers' Work Day will once again promote relationships, encouragement, accountability, and laughter throughout our Sweet, Sweet Southeastern Region. Mothers' Work Day will include specialized officer training, chapter role-based workshops, sharing of best practices, cultivating your Passion, Purpose, and Pride luncheon, empowerment workshops, and updates on the National and Regional initiatives.

On Saturday afternoon, we will have the distinct honor and privilege of conducting the Bridging Over Ceremony for our mothers that tenured out in 2020. Additionally, we will install our 46th chapter, the North Mississippi Provisional Group! Our afternoon will conclude with a congratulatory toast and celebration for our very own National President Kornisha Brown.

We desire that you will leave Mothers' Work Day, knowing we all have, "The Power to Make a Difference, We Can Do More." Thank you for joining us at our virtual Mothers' Work Day 2020 in Birmingham!

For the children,

The Southeastern Regional Leadership Team
