Saturday Excursion Options

 

You will need to select your excursion during the registration process. When registering a child or teen, another regsitered adult must accompany them. If you decide later that you want to change your selection, send an email to support@viprllc.com no later than December 15th and if there is availability, you will be accommodated.  All excursions include a boxed lunch.

 

EXCURSION OPTION #1:  HOWARD UNIVERSITY TOUR

Description: Join an informative tour of Howard Univerity led by JJOA Alum followed by a panel disussion.

EXCURSION OPTION #2:  AFRICAN AMERICAN HERITAGE TOUR 

Description:  Your guided bus tour guide provides interesting facts, funny stories, and an overall educational and good time. The tour will stop at the following locations:

Jack and Jill of America Headquarters
U-Street Corridor, also known as Black Broadway
African American Civil War Museum
Carter G. Woodson Home
Mary M. Bethune Home
Lincoln Memorial
Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial

EXCURSION OPTION #4:  SMITHSONIAN NATIONAL MUSEUM OF AFRICAN AMERICAN HISTORY AND CULTURE

The National Museum of African American History and Culture is the nation’s largest and most comprehensive cultural destination devoted exclusively to exploring, documenting and showcasing the African American story and its impact on American and world history.
