Tanisha Silas-Young MD grew up in Vallejo, California where she is a proud member of the Greater Vallejo Chapter of Jack and Jill Chapter. A passion for science and a force to be reckoned with in Track and Field, Silas-Young attended University of California Davis to complete her undergraduate studies and School of Medicine. She completed her residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at University Texas Southwestern-Parkland Memorial Hospital and in 2010 joined Kaiser Permanente Vacaville Women’s Health Department.
She is currently Physician Chief of Vacaville Women’s Health Department and a Chronic Pelvic Pain/Chronic Vaginitis/Vulvar Dermatoses Specialist. She is also Napa/Solano Service Area Kaiser Permanente Physician Champion in ACEs/Resiliency/Trauma Informed Care/Social Determinants of Health. Trauma Transformed Certified Specialist.
She has been married for 15 years to her college sweetheart, Rockie. They currently reside in American Canyon with their beautiful active Jack and Jills - Naomi, Laila, and Rockie III.
