FAQs RELATED TO COVID-19 -- NOTE POLICIES ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE

Per the JJOA COVID-19 Guidelines, all attendees must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and submit proof of vaccination and a negative test 72-hours prior to the start of Teen Leadership Conference. Fully vaccinated means you have received the 2nd dose of the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine or the single dose of the Johnson and Johnson vaccine no later than June 1, 2022. Additional information regarding the process for providing proof of vaccination and negative COVID test will be communicated to all registered attendees following the close of late registration, by May 10, 2022.

In addition, masks will be required at all times except when actively eating or drinking.

All registered teens and adults and guests for the gala must present a negative test (either lab or rapid) within 72 hours before the event.

In order to track COVID compliance as defined by our national guidelines for regional events we will be using CrowdPass for Teen Leadership Conference.  CrowdPass is a digital-health clearance platform that works to ensure safety within a multitude of industries. Mothers and Teens will be required to upload their negative tests and COVID vaccination documentation to be verified by CrowdPass. The application will track the compliance for each individual, and the user will receive a "pass" or "fail" following documentation submission. Upon arrival at TLC registered attendees will be required to show "pass" status.

At this time, a booster shot is not required, however, the JJOA COVID-19 policy is subject to change. If the policy does change, it will be for those who are eligible to receive a booster based on the date of the last vaccination. If the policy is updated and you are eligible, but do not obtain the booster,  a refund is not possible.

It is not required, but strongly recommended that you purchase trip insurance to cover your investment in case unforeseen circumstances prevent you from attending, to include a positive COVID-19 test. Here are companies that you can contact. Note this is not an endorsement of any company, just a referral:
Travel Guard

Teens are not able to room alone. The negative teen will be placed in another room or the mother will be permitted to stay overnight with the teen. Please note this is only a COVID allowance and must be approved by the Regional Director

If a teen falls ill, they will be isolated in a hotel room and the parent will need to come to pick up their teen immediately.

Mothers and Teens will be required to complete the upload of COVID related documentation to the CrowdPass application within 72 hours of Teen Leadership Conference. If a mother or teen receives a positive COVID test result, the registrant with a positive result will receive a 50% refund of their registration fee (this does not include any credit card processing fees). If another registrant in the party determines they will not travel due to the positive result of the other individual, that registration will not be refunded. The only registration that will be refunded for a COVID positive test - is the registration of the individual (mother or teen) with the positive result. This policy does not apply to guests attending the Rites of Passage event, any guest of the ROP that submits a positive result within 72 hours of ROP on Saturday, June 18 - will forfeit their guest ticket and all applicable payments. No reimbursements will be made until closure of TLC and balancing of account information by RT Sandra McKinney.

All other NON-COVID refund requests will follow the established refund policy. There will be no refunds accepted after the deadline of May 20, 2022. All refund requests must be submitted in writing to CentralRSTorii@gmail.com and CentralRTSandra@gmail.com.
