Dr. Sharon January is a proud charter member of the Greater North Atlanta Chapter (GNAC).
Dr. January graduated in 1990 from North Carolina State University with a B.S. in Pre-Med/Zoology and went on to attend the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Medicine. She graduated in 1994 with a Doctor of Medicine. She then moved to Atlanta, Ga. to complete her Internship and Residency in Internal Medicine at Emory University Medical School in 1997. She has been Board Certified in Internal Medicine since 1997. Her special interest in preventative care led to her working clinically in managed care, the VA, and community health clinics until 2013. Since that she has worked in an administrative capacity in Utilization Review and is currently an Associate Medical Director with a large company.
She has been happily married to her husband Michael since 1997. They are the proud parents of Michael, Jr. (Alum 16’), Wesley (Alum 18’), Grant (HS Senior), and Kennedy (6th Grade). She enjoys spending time with her family, watching football, playing tennis, and bowling.
