It’s up to you to take the love you receive from Him, and find ways to bring that love and goodwill into your community.” Takeysha Lewis calls it a blessing and an honor to serve as the Foundation Member at Large for the Sweet, Sweet, Southeastern Region. She is a wife, mother, and dedicated Social Worker in the Macon community and K-12 education. She is a proud member of the Marvelous Macon (GA) Chapter, where she has held membership since 2010. As a member of the Macon Chapter, she has served as Chapter President, Vice President, Corresponding Secretary, Chapter Editor, Grade Group Lead/Sponsor, Social Committee Chair, Membership Chair, and Five Star Chair. Regionally, she has served as the Regional Community Service Chair, Evaluations Committee Chair during the 31st Biennial Mothers’ Regional Conference, as a member of the Regional Strategic Relevance and Value Committee and the Carole Robertson Memorial Gravesite Beautification Project Committee. She also currently serves as the SER Subject Matter Expert for Community Service and Philanthropy on the National Five Star 2.2 Task Force Committee.

MAL Takeysha strives to ensure that SER service projects and philanthropic efforts flourish with the overall goal of exposing our moms, children, and teens with opportunities to ensure that we continue to be well equipped to make an impact on the world around us, and beyond- through service and philanthropy. With over 20 years of professional experience, MAL Takeysha holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work (BSW) from Fort Valley State University, as well as graduate degrees, Masters Social Work (MSW) and an Education Specialist Degree (Ed.S.) in Educational Leadership, both from Valdosta State University. She is a Social Worker by profession with experience working in the areas of Community Organization and Non-Profit programming. MAL Takeysha has additional professional experience in grant writing, management, and evaluation, as well as extensive experience working in the Social Services arena with youth and families during some of the most vulnerable times in their lives. She currently serves on boards and committees in her community to include the Macon/Bibb County Child Advocacy Center, Carl D. Thomas Boys and Girls Club Advisory Board, and the Positive Behavior Intervention & Support Leadership Team, which are all dedicated to eliminating barriers and supporting families in reaching their full potential. MAL Takeysha’s passion for service and philanthropy drives her commitment to the community, uplifting families, and ALL children to be able to thrive to the best of their abilities.
