National Membership Committee Chair Nicole Lawson Jenkins has been a member of the Atlanta Chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Inc. for the past 9 years. She currently serves as Chapter Historian and has served in the capacities of Chapter President, Vice President of Membership, Assistant Program Director, Grade Level Sponsor, Membership Co-Chair, and Five Star Chapter Excellence Chairperson. She enjoyed service on the National Bylaws Committee from 2016-2018 and has been honored to serve on the National Membership Committee since 2018. A legacy member, Nicole grew up in the Montgomery Chapter of Jack and Jill and still treasures her service as a former Southeastern Regional Teen Secretary. She is excited to continue her leadership journey as one of the recently selected fellows for the Marion Stubbs Thomas National Leadership Academy.
Nicole is a 2002 graduate of Harvard Law School and an alumna of Spelman College, where she earned a B.A. degree in Psychology and received the honors of graduating summa cum laude and being inducted into Phi Beta Kappa. Professionally, Nicole works as a Career Law Clerk serving the United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia. Prior to her service as a law clerk, Nicole worked as an associate at Sutherland Asbill & Brennan LLP in the General Commercial Litigation Group.
Nicole and her husband, Cortez Jenkins, are the proud parents of two kind, talented scholars, Caden (age 13) and Cameron (age 10). Nicole is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., and she enjoys listening to live music, practicing yoga, taking long drives, reading about personal finance, and volunteering with Everybody Wins! Atlanta, her neighborhood Homeowners Association, and her children’s schools.
