Shannon Chambers is a proud member of the Columbus Georgia Chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Inc. Shannon has served and continues to serve this organization on many levels. She currently serves as the SER National Representative for the Legislative Committee. She has also served on the Regional Program Committee for the past four years and now serves as Regional Program Co-Chair and Regional Legislative Chair. In addition, she has also held several leadership positions throughout the Southeastern Region as Chair for the Evaluations Committee, Chair for the Rules and Regulations Committee, Regional Super Cluster/Cluster Chair, Regional Stock Market Exchange Challenge Chair, and Regional Book Club Lead. Locally, she has also held several positions and served on various committees in the chapter. Some of these would include Treasurer, Budget/Finance Committee Chair, Program Director, Assistant Program Director, Grade Group Sponsor, Step Team Coach, Super Cluster Chair, Five Star Excellence Board Committee, Membership Committee, Oratorical Chair, Beautillion Ball Chair, Foundation Committee, Community Service Committee, and other various committees. She was also named Mother of the Year for 2018.

Shannon graduated from the University of Alabama at Birmingham with a Bachelor of Science in Business Management in Finance, Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degree in Nursing. She has diligently worked in her field of study as a dedicated servant leader. While maintaining her home and holding several career leadership positions, she managed to obtain a Doctor of Science degree in Healthcare Administration from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She currently is employed as a Healthcare Administrator for the University System of Georgia and CFO of Chambers Health Group, LLC.
Shannon also has a heart for service. She currently volunteers for Habitat for Humanity, Ronald MacDonald House, and the Alzheimer’s Association. She is a Board Member of Hope Harbour Domestic Violence Shelter where she serves as Corresponding Secretary, Columbus Fort Benning Medical Society,
Junior League, National Council of Negro Women, and Urban League. She is also a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta, Inc.

Shannon is married to Dr. Wesley Chambers with 3 beautiful children, John 20 (Morehouse College), Jada 11, and Kyle 9. In her spare time, Shannon loves to read, shop, and travel.
