Ebony Carriere Christophe is the owner, executive director and clinical director of NIALife Center for Counseling, LLC where she provides clinical and executive oversight over a team of master’s level counselors, social workers ,and mental health professionals, bachelor’s level case workers, psychiatric nurse practitioners and psychiatrists. Ebony began NIALife Center for Counseling using the kwanzaa principle, Nia which means purpose, “To make our collective vocation the building and developing of our community in order to restore our people to their traditional greatness” to develop its mission and goal. She currently provides counseling to family and individuals ages 5 and up in the homes, schools and community as well as supervises and manages the organization. Ebony is also a certified registered yoga instructor. She has been trained in the traditional holistic approach in yoga and meditation. She utilizes her training in yoga and meditation to integrate both mind and body in healing and health.

Ebony Carriere Christophe is a native of New Orleans, Louisiana. She began her career in the community counseling setting over 10 years ago after obtaining a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Louisiana State University and a master’s degree in Professional Counseling from Argosy University School of Psychology in Dallas, Texas. Ebony holds a license by the state of Louisiana Professional Counselor Board of Examiners as a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor and is a member of the Louisiana Counseling Association, the Louisiana Mental Health Counselors Association and the American Counseling Association. In 2020, Ebony launched NIASoul Yoga and Health as a feature program offered through NIALife Center for Counseling. Ebony teaches varying types of yoga [fitness courses to a diverse community which otherwise may not have access to the holistic bene[its of yoga practice.
