Kathryn Holt Richardson is an expert attorney search consultant, who has successfully placed hundreds of lawyers throughout her career. She has placed in-house attorneys at every level — including General Counsel — and is an expert in lateral partner recruiting. Kathy supports top-performing partners throughout their careers and works with select associates to maximize their success and happiness. Kathy founded HR Legal Search in 2006, and the firm quickly established itself as a leader in the recruitment field. Since 2011, Texas Lawyer has named HR Legal Search as Texas’ Best Legal Recruiting Firm. Kathy values both her attorney candidates and her clients, listens to their unique needs, and strives to find the perfect match. Kathy’s depth of experience comes from years of recruiting leadership. In 2004, she co-founded the Austin office of the legal search firm Major, Lindsey & Africa, and subsequently led its associate practice group in Texas. Previously, Kathy pent six years at The University of Texas Law School, where she led the Career Services Office and guided thousands of law students in their nascent careers. As the school’s Assistant Dean for Career Services, she connected with hundreds of legal employers and gained a deep understanding of what law firms are seekingwhen they want to add talent to their teams. Kathy maintains those strong relationships to this day.
Today, Kathy is a thought leader in the legal recruiting space.
