Sharon is a retired educator having spent her entire career in the area of Special Education. She holds a BS from Purdue University in Audiology and Speech Pathology and Masters of Education from CSU in the areas of Curriculum, Instruction and Supervision.

Sharon has been an active member of a number of organizations and has served on the local, regional and national levels. She served Jack and Jill of America, Inc. as a two-term Regional Director, Regional and National Associate Chair, Regional Protocol and Logistics Chair, and Chapter President. While serving as RD and under her leadership, the Teen Conference Service projects were developed. The Mid-Western Region piloted the program and it continues today in the regions across the country. She was the chair of the National Convention when it was held in Cleveland. It was at this National Convention that Jack and Jill Family Night began. The goal was to enjoy an evening of fun and food for everyone in attendance from children to adults. Sharon was instrumental in the chartering of the Associates Group in Cleveland OH.

In 2005, Sharon started an event planning business, Events4U. She has planned events for 2 Ohio governors, many for-profit and non-profits agencies and other private events in and around the Cleveland area. She retired from Events4U in 2017.

She is the proud mother of two daughters, Lindsay, Chief of the Criminal Division of the US Attorney’s office and Courtney, Senior Pastor of SEUCC. She has two adorable grandsons, Alex and Caleb who are the light of her life.

Sharon resides in Highland Hts, OH and continues to serve the greater Cleveland community even in retirement.
