Saundra Lamb was the Global Product Development Systems Launch Manager for Product Development. In this position, she was responsible for the development and implementation of global manufacturing launch processes for new vehicles. She retired from Ford Motor Company in 2018.

Prior to her position in Global Product Developments Systems, Ms. Lamb held various engineering management positions in product development. She started her career in Powertrain designing parts for transmissions, and later moved into other areas of vehicle product development.

Ms. Lamb is from Missouri and holds a bachelor’s in engineering from the University of Missouri and a master’s degree from Xavier University. She was the first African American woman to graduate from the Engineering School. Ms. Lamb was the Director of Community Relations for the Ford African Ancestry Network. She has been the Chairperson for the Ford/NAACP Career Day & Youth Summit, which takes place during Freedom Week. Saundra has always had a passion for educating our children; from tutoring children to active involvement in Detroit Area Pre-College Engineering Program. She is the Conference Chair for the Institute for the Study of African American Children. She is the Chair of the Oakland County Jack & Jill Associates Chapter. She is the President of Distinguished Women in International Service. She is Vice President of The Detroit CARATS. She is a member of the following organizations Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc., Top Ladies of Distinction, Board member of Friends of the Vines and Skyline/TPC Golf Classic, and a former board member of Minerva Education and Development Fund.
