Keena Thicklin Luckett is married to Michael H. Luckett II and mom to Kennedy (20) and Michael (7). She also has the fortune of having two bonus sons, Bradley (27) who is a graduate of Berklee School of Music and Christopher (15).

While earning a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English with a concentration in Secondary Education from Iowa State University, Keena also became of a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated in 1995. After graduation from ISU, Keena began her teaching career in Chicago, before quickly discovering that Retail was her true love. It was that love that brought her to Dallas, Texas almost twenty years ago. As the Product Development Director for Intimate Apparel & Sleepwear at JCPenney, Keena was able to have a career and enjoy friendships with many Black women who are also mothers. The relationships she made at JCPenney are what led her to learn about Jack & Jill. Seeing those women raise children who were thriving & surviving in an environment where they are not always celebrated, caused her to seek out more information about the organization.

As a charter member of the Far North Dallas Chapter, Keena has served as a Grade Group chair, Legislative Chair, Rites of Passage Chair and Membership Co-chair. Her membership in Jack & Jill has given so much to her and her family.

Keena is also a member of Kingdom Builders Christian Church in Arlington, TX where she is a youth Sunday School Teacher. Keena’s commitment to church, career and sorority keep her very busy, but her most important and fulfilling jobs are being a wife and a mom.
