Greta Carey Peoples is a seasoned marketing professional with over 25 years of combined experience in business management and brand building. As a part-time independent business owner and respected leader with Stella & Dot since October 2010, Greta has managed a team of over 60 Ambassadors across the country that collectively has generated over $1 million+ in sales. One of the first African American ranked leaders in the Company early in her career, Greta was on her way to becoming one of the first African American directors until a traumatic crisis in early 2014 forced her to temporarily step away from the business and focus exclusively on caring for her husband and supporting her family. Greta has since returned to Stella & Dot to reestablish her track record of outstanding business performance and, in 2020, became Stella & Dot’s first African American Executive Leader.

Prior to joining Stella & Dot, Greta founded G&JCP Consulting, LLC and spent six years as a Marketing Consultant specializing in strategic planning, brand design and development, and retail execution for small- to mid-sized beauty businesses. Preceding her time as a consultant, Greta worked in brand management at Procter & Gamble for eight years serving as a leader on the Cosmetics category’s ‘first ever’ Global Innovation Team and managing the portfolio of Cover Girl brand color promotions. Greta has also held numerous roles with Macy*s in management, human resources, and corporate buying.
Outside of Stella & Dot, Greta is a member of the The Links, Incorporated and an Associate of Jack & Jill of America — having been an active member and officer of the organization for 15 years. During her time in Jack & Jill, she was twice the recipient of the “Distinguished Mother of the Year Award.” In addition to volunteering her time to help serve and support several community organizations and efforts, Greta enjoys traveling, supporting the arts, entertaining, and spending time with friends and family.

A native of Baton Rouge, LA and legacy member of the Baton Rouge chapter of Jack & Jill, Greta attended Tulane University in New Orleans, LA as a Dean’s Honor Scholar and earned a bachelor’s degree in Management and Marketing. She also attended the University of Texas at Austin in Austin, TX as a Consortium for Graduate Study in Management Fellow and earned her Master of Business Administration. She and her husband of 25 years, John, reside in the Baltimore, MD area and have two daughters -- Mara, a 2019 graduate of Howard University in Washington, DC and Sydney, a 2020 graduate of the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, VA
