Trooper First Class Tamia Tucker enlisted in the United States Marine Corps one week after her 18th birthday. She was a Field Radio Operator stationed in Okinawa, Japan and Camp Lejeune, NC. After her enlistment, she attended Southern Connecticut State University, graduating with a Bachelor’s of Science in Public Health with a concentration in Health Promotion. Trooper First Class Tucker was hired by the Connecticut State Police in 2010. She spent her first 5.5 years at Troop I- Bethany and is currently at Troop G- Bridgeport. In 2015, she completed a Practical Nurse program.
