A native Californian raised on the west side of Fresno; Lori is married to her high school sweetheart, Chavares Wilson. They have been blessed with two sons, Tyler & Kiren, and daughter-in-law, Brittney. They have enjoyed living in Suisun City since 2004 after being stationed at Travis AFB for 5 years.
Lori is a graduate of California State University, Sacramento with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, with a concentration in Accountancy. Her diverse career history, including more than 15 years in Accounting & Finance, has afforded Lori tremendous opportunities to hone her skills in government & nonprofit management, strategic development, and budget administration. She has a proven track record in identifying needs and developing innovative solutions. Lori’s current role as Director of Finance for a national homebuilder, only adds to her depth of knowledge and skill.
Lori’s path to involvement in community involvement started when she completed her Biblical Studies at Vision Bible College. While serving in various leadership roles at Liberty Christian Center, she was licensed as a minister in 2006 and ordained in 2011. Lori also served as Project Manager for the “Hope for the Hungry” food drive, obtaining more than $600,000 in food and cash donations that benefited many local families in Solano County.
Her career, life story and heartfelt passion for making a difference laid a solid foundation and prepared Lori to serve Suisun City residents in the political arena.
In 2012, Lori was elected to serve on the Suisun City Council. Shortly after the election, she was appointed “Mayor Pro Tem” by the Mayor and her fellow council members. As a part of her service on the Suisun City Council, she also serves on numerous other local agencies, boards and committees to advocate for the best interest of the residents of Suisun City.
November 2018 Lori was elected Mayor of Suisun City and while Lori often has to make tough decisions, her priorities, and her focus continue to be on projects that will increase the quality of life for Suisun City residents, improve economic sustainability and overall safety. She believes Suisun City can become an even greater place to raise a family and build successful businesses.
