Vernice Cooper is a dynamic motivational speaker, poet, author, and a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who is determined to use her education and experience to inspire, motivate and transform lives. Her life experience of overcoming family addiction and trauma, paired with her professional experience fuels her passion to guide people, particularly women, out of a “Victimville” mentality. Using real-world examples, humor, and short storytelling, Vernice sheds light on how resilience transforms the way we live, love, and heal. Vernice currently works as a clinician specializing in Addiction Medicine and Recovery Services at Kaiser Permanente, owns her own consulting business, Joy Road Solutions, and is the author of her debut book, Vacate Victimville.
