Link Gail Washington was inducted into the Shelby County (TN) Chapter in 2010 and immediately helped revamp its award winning Leadership Academy for boys. To do this, she negotiated special permission and copyright license from the authors and publishers of the popular Chicken Soup for the Soul book series to create a written curriculum and course book based on their book titled “The Power of Focus”. Thereafter, she was appointed as Chapter Program Chair, elected two terms as Chapter Treasurer, appointed as Area Treasurer for 2019-2021 and currently serves as Area Financial Secretary under Madam Area Director Link Sheila R. Brown.
