Link Schylbea Jean Hopkins has been a member of the Great Lakes (MI) chapter since 2007. She is a past president, corresponding secretary and chairman of the Audit, Ethics, Arts, and International Trends committees of the Great Lakes (MI) chapter of the Links Incorporated. She has been appointed to the Links, Incorporated Central Area Executive Committee as Cochairman of the Conference Planning Committee from 2013-2015, the Arts Facet Chairman for 2017-2019, and Services to Youth Facet Chairman from 2019 to 2022. Currently, Link Schylbea is the Central Area Program Coordinator. Schylbea is a member of the Board of Directors for the National Conference of Arts, Michigan chapter, and a member of the Trustee Ministry and the Investment Committee at Hartford Memorial Baptist Church in Detroit, Michigan.

She is an active member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, the 26th Great Lakes Regional Director, and Honorary Chairman for the 2019 and 2022 Great Lakes Regional Conference and currently has served as National chairman of several committees. Schylbea is a retired school administrator and has been a licensed real estate agent selling residential and commercial properties for over 40 years.
