The Health and Human Services’ GREEN Basket Initiative addresses post-pandemic food insecurity in communities of color. This workshop explores its the long-term effects of hunger and food inequity. With the HBCU Initiative Committee, we will highlight the impact on our HBCUs as well as solutions and resources.

This safari will simplify the chapter secretary’s duties and expectations. Participants will capture “the elusive stellar minute-taking creature” by myth-busting common misperceptions chapter members have about minutes. Attendees will learn how to tame the Member Management System beast to ensure that chapter officers and facet chairs are always aware of pertinent Area and National information.

With the proliferation of smartphones and other internet-connected devices today, we are ‘social’ with the world at our fingertips. This session will provide tips and tricks, must-know, and easy-to-implement tools to elevate your personal or chapter’s brand recognition.  The objective is to provide content that is targeted, concise, and correctly timed. Time will be provided for participants to learn, grow and share their story through ‘techtok’ of how they are serving their community.

Fun… Fun…Fun. This high-impact workshop mixes ethics, elections savvy, parliamentary information and education with a little ‘TV JEOPARDY’ game. Get quick updates on elections information, ethics intricoes and parliamentary finesse tactics! There will be categories such as: “I move to”, “Girl did you get it right”, “How did that happen” and “Can we really do that”.

We will discuss common challenges faced during the chapter nominating process and share recommended chapter guidelines and tips during the “Chapter Call for Nominations.”

hapter fiscal officers will receive practical information on operations, the evolution of fiscal matters in the post-pandemic digital era, as well as the impact of changes in banking operations. Attendees will gain working knowledge about fiscal policies and methods as outlined in the ‘Manual of Procedures’ documents. This workshop will provide foundational knowledge for good fiscal operations and best practices for chapter success.
