I’m excited to welcome you to the “City of Big Shoulders” and the 47th Central Area Conference!  Along with our Central Area Director, Monica B. Allen and the Area Planning Team, I invite you to Lead, Grow and Serve with us!

It is through my service that I have grown in Linkdom; identifying issues and working to meet the needs of my chapter and community.  My greatest concern has always been the impact and quality of the work that I’ve done, as I’ve found—when you keep that at the forefront, you will always be rewarded.  I’ve been rewarded with greater responsibility and leadership opportunities as a Link which has inspired more growth in me.  I’ve learned more about The Links, Incorporated at the national and area levels.  I’ve seen what excellence in programming looks like.  I’ve witnessed the phenomenal things our sisters are doing in each community and I’ve confirmed what I already knew to be true:  To Lead, You Must Serve.  It’s not about titles—it’s about the impact that you make!

This is why we invite you to Lead, Grow and Serve with us!  This Central Area Conference will be the first in-person conference since 2019 and we are excited to welcome you!  Aside from all of the phenomenal activities the City of Chicago has to offer, we’ve planned many enriching workshops that will meet the newest Link sister where she is to our most tenured sisters.  We invite you into the world of our past Area Directors with “You Think You Know, But You Have No Idea.”  How do you navigate this brand-new world of Linkdom with poise, knowledge and impact—new Links, we have something for you!  Interested in becoming an effective president or vice president?; “Next Level Leadership,” “Links Leadership Development” or “Building Confidence as a Leader” may be the workshops for you!

We are looking forward to delighting you at every turn with elevated experiences, right in the heart of downtown Chicago.  So please plan to join us for the most amazing area conference on this side of the pandemic!  It’s guaranteed to be a time to connect as old friends and make new memories with new friends.
